Providence Health's imaging services are provided by fellowship-trained imaging specialists using high-end technology for premier diagnostic abilities. Outpatient imaging services are available at our downtown, Northeast, and Fairfield locations.
Uses small amounts of radioactive material to diagnose a variety of diseases, including cancers, heart disease, gastrointestinal, endocrine, neurological disorders and other abnormalities within the body
Uses x-rays and other high-energy radiation to diagnose bone conditions and the presence of foreign objects
Uses a magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of organs and tissues allowing us to "see" minor damage and early warning signs
Uses high-frequency sound waves to create an image deep inside the body so that we can view the inside of an organ or vessels (i.e. echo vascular ultrasound)
Combines a series of X-ray images from different angles to create cross-sectional images, or slices, of the bones, blood vessels and soft tissues inside your body
The 256-slice scanner does not require the patient's heart to be slowed to scan it effectively for abnormalities. This helps the patient by requiring less manipulation of the heart to analyze it, and the speed at which the images are returned means your physician can get you on the road to heart health faster.
