Health System Launches New COVID-19 Screening Process
September 22, 2020
Beginning Wednesday, September 23 all COVID-19 screening will be done indoors. Checkpoints have been established at both Providence Health-Downtown and Providence Health-Northeast, at the main registration areas, and in the Emergency Departments. This relocation enables us to streamline the screening process without sacrificing safety.
We will continue to screen everyone who enters the facility for symptoms consistent with COVID-19 based on CDC guidelines. Screening is an important part of our effort to maintain a safe environment in which you can feel confident in seeking care.
Please remember, we require face masks to be worn at times. Each patient is permitted one (1) well-visitor per day. Visitors must be at least 16 years of age.
Visitors are not permitted in the Emergency Room, unless absolutely necessary. Visitors are not permitted for high-risk, immunocompromised, or respiratory patients who are under observation or test positive for COVID-19
As we move forward, healthcare might look different. But at the heart of our care are the same trusted and dedicated healthcare heroes you’ve relied on for all your health needs.
Providence Health is here to provide a range of healthcare services, from your annual screenings and physicals to quality of life procedures that help you make the most of every moment moving forward.
Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we continue to make your safety our priority.
